Living in Love beyond Beliefs

You have created us for Yourself, and our hearts are restless until they find rest in You.

*St. Augustine

I am Here alone, in the Quiet. This Quiet is not for myself alone, or for "God" alone, but for others, also. I remain quietly alone, resting with everyone alone. I walk among others quietly, present to everyone in his or her aloneness, which is our Aloneness. For Aloneness, which is the harmony of apartness and togetherness, in and from and to Love becomes our shared Communion, our Solitude.

Here, my heart meets and greets silently the other heart, in our Heart. In seeing you, I see myself, even as I see beyond seeing you and myself. I may not speak to you, or I might. I might not look your way, or I might. I might not know your name, or I might. But I am with you, and you with me. I cannot escape you, even as I cannot escape "God" or myself.

How can I say, "I am with "God," if meaning "with God" and not "with you"? How can I say, "I am with you," meaning "with you" and not "with God"? I cannot. If, then, I go apart from you to find rest in "God," I take you there with me and return to live with you, alone with the alone in a Silence and Solitude before the naming of names.

The more deeply I give myself into this Solitude and Silence, the more I find quiet and rest. I see we are, finally, untouched by the noises and chaos around us. I know our true Face before our faces, all faces. There, I have found rest with you, in "God."

The presentations at this site cover a long time period. Each one represents part of an on-going Pilgrimage, and the writer's ideas, practices, and experience have changed over time. This change is the quality of any living Journey. Please read with this in mind, allowing the inner Teacher to speak to you as you need at this particular time in your own living Journey. Thanks!
